I photograph places, things, and the people who give them meaning.

My work is drawn to craftsmanship, character, history, and the quiet details that are often overlooked. I am interested in the worn surface of a workbench, the light falling across an old building, the hands of someone who has spent years making something well, and the objects that become part of our daily lives.

My foundation in photography began in the film era, where I learned to trust light, composition, observation, and patience. Although the tools have changed, those principles remain at the center of my work. I photograph deliberately, shaping light and working to create as much of the finished photograph as possible in the camera.

My work moves between architecture, still life, food, landscape, objects, and makers. What connects these subjects is not the category they belong to, but what they reveal—craftsmanship, human presence, the passage of time, and the character of a place or thing.

Based in North Central West Virginia, I work throughout the Appalachian region and beyond.

I make photographs for clients, publications, and organizations, but I also make work simply because something interests me. Both begin in the same place: curiosity, observation, and the desire to make a photograph worth spending time with.
